A lawyer for Michael Jackson’s mother has told US TV that an agreement has been reached over the custody of the late pop star’s three children.

Londell McMillan told CBS News that Katherine Jackson is to be awarded custody of Prince Michael, 12, Paris, 11 and Prince Michael II, seven.

He said Debbie Rowe, the mother of Jackson’s two elder children, would have “meaningful visitation rights”.

A court hearing to formalise custody is scheduled for Monday in Los Angeles.

Katherine Jackson was granted temporary custody of the children after the star’s death on 25 June.

The biological mother of Prince Michael II, also known as Blanket, has never been revealed.

“It’s an agreement, an agreement for the best interests of the children. This is not a money deal – this is not about money,” Mr McMillan said in an interview on The Early Show.

“All of the parties are resolved – there is no situation better for these children than for them to be raised and reared in the loving care of Mrs Katherine Jackson,” he said.

Custody rights

Jackson stated in his 2002 will that he wanted his mother to care for the children if he died.

Debbie Rowe gave up custody rights following her divorce from Jackson in 2000, but sought them again in 2005.

She and Jackson agreed a settlement in 2006 but the terms were never disclosed.

Meanwhile, the Los Angeles County coroner’s office has said the release of Jackson’s autopsy results have been delayed until next week.

The results were due to be revealed this week, amid speculation about the possible role prescription drugs played in the singer’s death.

County coroner assistant chief Ed Winter did not discuss the reasons for the delay.

Photographer on Jackson rehearsals

Renowned rock photographer Kevin Mazur was at Michael Jackson’s final tour rehearsal in Los Angeles last week.

Several images from the practice runs have now been released, showing the star dancing and smiling against large neon letters reading “This Is It”.

Mazur, who first took pictures of Jackson during the 1984 Victory tour, told the BBC about the “magical” show that was being prepared before the entertainer’s untimely death on Thursday.

The pictures were taken on 23 June, just two days before Jackson died

How much of the rehearsal did you see?

I was there for a couple of days. I was there on the first day when they built the stage, and I took photographs of the dancers and the back-up singers for the tour book. Then, the next day I was taking casual shots of the band and the dancers rehearsing when Michael arrived.

I was like an expectant father waiting for him to take to the stage, I was so excited. And when he came out, I was even more excited because Michael was back.

He was happy, he was energetic, he was full of life. I had such an adrenaline rush. It was like the first time I had photographed him, when he moonwalked.

People were saying he wasn’t ready, and the first shows had been pushed back because of his health. Did you see any evidence of that?

A photo tells a story. Michael was physically fit and performing the same way that I photographed him through the years. You can look at the photos. I documented it, I was there.

So how did you feel when, four days later, you were told he had died?

I was so shocked, because from what I saw on Tuesday night, he was full of energy and full of life. I couldn’t wait to see this show at the O2 arena with all the fans there.

How much of the production did you see? Were there any big surprises?

There were still certain elements that they had to put into place, but I saw them rehearse about a dozen songs. And Michael never stopped. He worked right through. He did 12 songs and he only paused a couple of times to tweak some stuff with the music and a little bit of the choreography.

They had a screen that ran the full length of the main stage and was maybe about 50 feet high. And, supposedly, I heard they were doing some 3D things. I’ve been shooting shows for 25 years and I’d never seen anything like that before. I was very curious to see how it would all come together.

The series of 50 concerts was due to begin in London on 13 July

So you could say the concert was really in the final stages of preparation – with all the individual songs coming together into a coherent show?

Yes, well… everything was pretty much staged and built. There were certain things they were still waiting to get – they had chandeliers they were going to put into the set. But musically and dancing-wise, I got to see it all. But I didn’t get to see things like aerial lifts and a few other elements in the show.

And when Michael was done rehearsing, he and Kenny Ortega [choreographer and show producer] went off the stage and they were looking at a bunch of props they had for Thriller and they had a puppeteer using zombie-type creatures that were going to go through the audience. It looked really, really cool.

This was going to be like no show anyone had ever seen.

The picture that has gone around the world today is of Michael in a grey suit, pointing into the centre of the auditorium. What do you remember much about that shot?

That might have been Black Or White – but I don’t remember. It’s so hard for me to keep track of the songs while I’m shooting, because it’s such an adrenalin rush for me. I’m just too excited, and I’m juggling round numerous cameras. But I do know this, it was magical.

There are rumours today that the rehearsals had been filmed and that segments of the concert will be released as a tribute. Were you aware of that?

Not specifically – but everything was documented. That’s why I was there. I was there to keep a record photographically, and they also had videographers. He’s Michael Jackson and, as you know, he documents everything.

Jackson body ‘going to Neverland’

Fans and reporters have continued to gather outside Michael Jackson’s Neverland ranch after reports that his body will go on public view there.

Various sources claim a public viewing has been scheduled for Friday ahead of a private funeral on Sunday.

Vehicles and workers have been going in and out of the property, located about 150 miles northwest of Los Angeles.

According to the Associated Press (AP), Jackson’s will has now been filed in a Los Angeles court.

Dated 7 July 2002, the document reveals that the star chose not to provide for his former wife, Debbie Rowe, and gives his entire estate to the “Michael Jackson Family Trust”, AP said.

The documents estimated his estate at that time at more than $500m (£303m).

Tourist shrine

Members of Jackson’s family have met police and the California Highway Patrol to discuss funeral arrangements.

Unconfirmed reports suggest Jackson’s body may be placed in a glass coffin and be transported from Los Angeles to Neverland in a “fairytale carriage”.

According to a California Highway Patrol spokesman, however, “details are still pending”.

It is unclear whether Jackson can be legally buried at the 2,500-acre property, which he bought in 1987 but had not lived at since 2005.

The site could reportedly be turned into a permanent tourist shrine to the singer, akin to Elvis Presley’s Graceland home in Memphis.

Meanwhile, Jackson’s tour promoter has said the star’s ill-fated London show could be turned into a tribute gig featuring his family.

Randy Phillips, president of AEG Live, told Sky News he was “discussing with the family” the possibility of mounting the show in some form.

“I would imagine it could be done as a tribute with the family, with the brothers performing, some sisters, and the stars that were influenced by him,” he said.

“The world needs to see this production. It would have been, which is the tragedy here, one of the most amazing shows ever.”

Insomnia Mr Phillips denied claims that Jackson had been daunted by the upcoming concerts and was too frail to perform.

According to a nutritionist who was working with the singer, however, he had been battling persistent insomnia.

In an interview with CNN, registered nurse Cherilyn Lee said she had repeatedly rejected his demands for the drug Diprivan, a powerful sedative which is given intravenously.

“This was a person who was seeking help, desperately, to get some sleep, to get some rest,” she told the US news network.

It has been alleged that Jackson had been consuming painkillers, sedatives and antidepressants at the time of his death.

According to actor Lou Ferrigno, however, the 50-year-old singer had been entirely focused on his health in the run-up to his 50 London concerts.

“I’ve never seen him take drugs,” said the Incredible Hulk star, who Jackson had been working out with.

“He was always talking about nutrition.

“When he was with me, he wasn’t different. He wasn’t stoned. He wasn’t high. He wasn’t being aloof or speedy.”

Jackson’s Last Will — Diana Ross Mentioned

Michael Jackson’s will has been filed with the court. Jackson asks that his mother, Katherine, be made the guardian of all three of his kids. The will says if Katherine died before him or couldn’t serve as guardian, he nominated Diana Ross.

And there’s a petition filed along with the will, saying Jackson’s estate is worth more than $500,000,000. The petition says almost all of the estate “consists of non-cash, non-liquid assets, including primarily an interest in a catalog of music royalty rights which is currently being administered by Sony-ATV, and interests in various entities.”

MIchael Jackson's Will

As we first reported, the will leaves everything to the Michael Jackson Family Trust, stating, “I give my entire estate to the Trustee or Trustees…”

The will declares that Jackson is not married.

The will names John Branca, John McClain and Barry Siegel as co-Executors. Branca was Jackson’s lawyer, McClain is a music exec and Siegel was Jackson’s accountant. But Siegel resigned from his role as executor in 2003.

Dangerous Drug Found in Jackson Home

Sources tell TMZ an extremely dangerous and potent drug used for surgical anesthesia was found at Michael Jackson’s house after he died … and this may well be the drug that killed him.

We’re told the drug Propofol was discovered at the residence. The drug is used to put people under anesthesia before surgery. It is an extremely powerful drug that is only available to medical personnel. As one source said, “There is no conceivable way this drug can be properly prescribed for home use.”

The drug can only be administered with an IV. Interestingly, Propofol burns and the drug Lidocaine is used to reduce the pain associated with the Propofol injection. As we first reported, Lidocaine was found near Jackson’s body.

One of the major side-effects of Propofol is cardiac arrest if it’s taken in combination with narcotic painkillers, however, Propofol is so powerful it can stop someone’s heart on its own.

A registered nurse has come out and said Jackson begged her for the drug Diprivan — the brand name for Propofol. She says he needed it for insomnia but she declined to supply it.

Sources say the drug is so inappropriate and reckless for home use, if a doctor facilitated it for Jackson and it caused his death, he or she could be prosecuted for manslaughter.

Jackson Burial — Cart Before the Horse?

A white carriage hearse was spotted on the 405 Freeway — making its way North yesterday — toward Santa Barbara — adding fuel to the rumors that Michael Jackson will be taken to Neverland for his final resting place.

We’ve already told you about the hotels that have sold outconstruction trucks and porta-pottys near the Ranch. But we’re hearing nothing about the funeral has even been decided by the family.

The buzz is that Jackson’s body will be taken to Neverland tomorrow, but so far we’re told nothing has been decided.

MJ’s Former Nanny: I Never Pumped His Stomach

The nanny who cared for Michael Jackson’s three kids says reports that she pumped Jackson’s stomach several times are bogus.

Grace Rwaramba responded to the rumors through a posting on the website of her close friend, Mallika Chopra — the daughter of Jackson confidant Deepak Chopra.

“I am shocked, hurt and deeply saddened by recent statements the press has attributed to me, in particular, the outrageous and patently false claim that I ‘routinely pumped his stomach after he had ingested a dangerous combination of drugs.’ I don’t even know how to pump a stomach!!”

Cops Target Needles in Jackson Search

Michael JacksonWe now know what the LAPD was after when it got a search warrant for Michael Jackson’s home.

The warrant was specifically targeted to find controlled substances and paraphernalia — in particular needles.
